McKinsey graduated with her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Sciences from Utah State University in 2014. She worked as a dietitian for the WIC program and was later promoted to a clinic manager. She took a small break to raise her young kids, and then returned to work as a dietitian consultant for several skilled nursing facilities and a mental health hospital. McKinsey has completed additional training in diabetes management, weight loss, and breastfeeding education.
